Automation is taking over the high positions. Programmers are about to set up their replacement by generating artificial intelligence that does what they were supposed to do. Factories no longer need human labor. Tesla is developing cars that require no drivers. A whole song, movie, or episode can be made by artificial intelligence.

Millions of people will lose their jobs because of robots in the upcoming decades. It would not be surprising to me if a revolt of some sort took place. Even with a universal basic income, humans need something that is fulfilling in their lives, otherwise they lose their minds. Try to stay home for a long time. You will go crazy.

Factories will still run on human labour, they'll just automate the one's in western countries and keep the factories they set up in shithole banana republics with humans working in them for pennies.

Win-win for them.

This has been said for many decades about factories that there would be fully automation and yet even in those factories where there is a lot of automation the robots still have to be operated by someone. Do people really think that hundreds of thousands of people who have no other job use will lose their jobs and do what? think again.

the reason why coding and other IT things can be replaced is that the number of people who do it is minimal and they take outrageous salaries.

It is over for many men. Simple as that.

AI is cope, another retarded thread, go watch some chomsky videos on this subject.

In Romania, back in the communist era, they avoided a lot of automation, exactly for this reason -just to give people jobs, a lot of stuff was made using simply manual labor, everyone was employed then, there was zero unemployment.
It wasn't very effective, of course, the pay was low and the general standards of life were much lower compared to the western world but everyone had a job - even the dumb, incompetent or retarded people, it was very difficult to get fired and many jobs were pretty much pointless - guards and supervisor almost everywhere, even in places where there was nothing to guard or supervise, that's how they made sure everyone is employed.

Blue collar job exist tesla is far away. Someone need to operate it and new job will be created

"The robots still have to be operated by someone."

Most people do not have the competence and qualification to operate robots and there are not many jobs for people who do. Tiny amount of jobs for millions of unemployed people. Just run the math and you will conclude that it does not add up. More automation = less jobs for everyone.

What jobcan't robots or automation take over. Even healthcare workers and farmers can be replaced. They aren't in the firing line yet, but will be at the pace this technology is scaling up.

Literally can't think of anything other than escorting JFL.
