What to do at the gym for lower back and core

I need a stronger core and lower back

Deadlifts for lower back and leg raises for core.
 
There are usually specified machines for each part of the back
 
I feel so subhuman over
 
Hyperextensions for lower back

Decline crunches, cable crunches, leg/knee raises for abs
