You always need leverage. When I first got to college and had roommates I agreed to deal with wifi/utility payments as long as they paid me on time each month. Everyday they were late I charged them 1$ extra per day late and after 3 days they couldn’t use wifi the rest of the month. I would just block their device from wifi until they paid. After the 3rd month most had paid me for the entire year just to not have to deal with it because I had leverage. Never lend money without leverage unless you are prepared to never see it again.
