what type of guys attract bad women?

Seeing this johnny depp trial made me think, what type of guys attract awful women? Its clearly not just looks or money. It seems like some of the supposedly most desirable men can attract the absolute worst women. What are your thoughts on this? I have noticed that some guys just get consistently cheated on and treated like trash.
