Wouldn't this be actual "wavy" hair?
My hair is like the one in OP's pic, it's still "straight" but if I let it grow the lower back becomes a bit "wavy" like in the pic and the upper back gets spiky.

"Wavy" is not categorical. It is a scale.
If his were straight, it would literally not lie, but stick around. THe straight-hair-cels can do only this:
the hair will be in clumps, and the texture is completely different: straight hair after product looks like you have been running, and then rolling around in grease. You will never see sommerhalder's fine hairs simply lying on his forehead.

Here is an climate adaptation of scottish cattle, the texture is similar. Its probably good against rain.
