Let's cut through all the media noise people are trying to justify it as anti-drug enforcement but we all know it's really about oil control and America First policy all this has happened before in Iran, Iraq and so why is this one different bcuz it signalling a brazen return to the 18th century imperialism.
In the past interventions like the 1953 CIA-orchestrated coup in Iran to secure oil interests ofc or the 2003 Iraq invasion framed as Weapons of Mass Destruction hunts but rooted in petroleum control at least hid behind democracy and somewhat followed the rules of UN resolutions or coalitions.

But Venezuela 2026 there was No such pretense. Trump just said fuck you to Congress, ignored the UN Charter. There was no debate, No approvals nothing just because the orange man willed it over 150 jets scrambled with delta force in a lightning operation overnight capturing Maduro like a bounty hunter and now trump is openly while touting "America First" as code for resource plunder
This is the exact shift I have been talking about for a while . In an era of declining U.S. hegemony this is how you protect US interests.. Dollar is entering it's last stages if you didn't know. Made a thread about it

One more important aspect of this is petrofollar angle. Venezuela sits on the world's largest proven oil reserves over 300 billion barrels, dwarfing Saudi Arabia's.
But under Maduro production cratered from 3 million barrels per day to under 1 million due to sanctions, corruption, and neglect but Trump explicitly framed the invasion as an oil grab vowing U.S. giants like Chevron and Exxon would go in, spend billions, fix the badly broken infrastructure, and start making money for the country
Now the question is why is US always behind oil like moths to flame. Why pour so many resources, wage wars, destabilize countries to exploit some oil reserves. it is because it crucial for U.S dominance and existence. Oil isn't just fuel it's the backbone of the petrodollar system that the US has built for decades

Since 1974, global oil trades in dollars which means endless demand for U.S currency which resulted in funding deficits, military might, and economic edge and made US the superpower it is.
And Venezuela's shift to selling in yuan, euros, and rubles threatened the dollar dominance
All this alongside BRICS allies which is ongoing is what is resulting in dollars rapidly losing value. And how dare a country is USA's backyard do this. So they seized control to ensures dollar dominance
What it means is profound instability for the U.S, there are short-term wins like stock surges for oil firms Chevron up 5% post-invasion but experts predict a long-term blowback insurgencies, legal challenges, and alienated allies. China has already shown that it will not back down and it's the only country in the world that has the guts to give an answer back to US and all this is signalling a shift.
UN charter, Global south, democracy, Congress all these have become a bad joke now. Who has the most guns, the newest jets wins. This is the entry of new age imperialism imo

The U.S dollar is entering its final super cycle
The U.S according to many experts is entering it's final super cycle. It's peaking right before the fatal fall https://ninetyone.com/en/insights/the-unstoppable-dollar-meets-the-immovable-mr-trump https://tradersummit.net/talk/the-dollars-super-cycle-and-the-end-of-economic-primacy/ It has...
