That's not how it works even if they get your IP they can't use it to dox you, the worst thing they can do is fry your router with ddos but most people don't have a botnet IP geolocation isn't accurate it only shows isp nodes close to you not your house the best it can do is your city

Yeah, ips can hardly dox you unless you have breaches, sure they can DDoS you and find your estimate location but no your bloodline wont be doxxed over an ip

In a really niche case they could pull up breaches or stealer logs via ip but really fucking rare

Not at all I mean yes if you want to hide your ip from people online or avoid location restrictions then fine it's alr ig but you need to pay for it and they have a history of bad decisions with customers data and if you ever use it for anything illegal you are fucked they work with the feds

mullvad is great for total privacy (it’s based in Sweden so the government can’t go knocking on their door and demand for your data) and you can pay with any method so you don’t have a trace of the purchase. You can literally mail them a letter with cash in it to pay for your vpn.
