What was it like to grow up in a single parent household...?

My mother died of cancer when I was a child. I have lived with my grandma since then. every year I meet my father who doesn't live in my country. My father was never there for me, He has started 2 relationships ever since he left.

Personally, It isn't bad - I love my grandma but not having a father figure in life made me a low T fag. I talk like a girl and have no friends - I am 18 and Till now I am fine but don't know how it will affect me later in life.

I feel like many members of this forum grew up in a single-parent household.

it was good for me because my father was terrible to me when he lived with us when i was a little kid. but my mother was quite ill so i had to spend a lot of time looking after her vs her looking after me

My parents divorced when I was young, my mother had full custody of me and my brother so I grew up living in single-parent household all my life.

Growing up it was okay for the most part, but I defintely think it has took a major toll on my upbringing. I've taken in much of my mother's traits. I feel completely aimless in life and mentally stunted as a result of not having father figure. Maybe a reason why I've turned to forums like these.

I had a pretty shitty upbringing. Was homeless as a kid. Living in cars. My dad and mom were separated. My dad picked us up on weekends but he never taught me much about driving or how to be an adult. But we had so much fun going to movies and shit.

Lived in a two parent household till 17. It's been almost 5 years since my mother left and I haven't felt a difference because I spend all the time in my room anyway.
