In the last few years i have tried my best to gain friends. I have tried talking to people and relating to them, however, noone of it has ever worked and people just tend to dislike me.

Does this have anything to do with my looks or am I 100% at fault for this?

100% unless you are genuinely deformed or annoying as fuck, your charisma can make up for your looks. how much making up it has to do idk. but it definitely is possible.
