What were some ways your parents punished you, when you were kids?

my childhood was like the time where I understood loneliness, understanding pain, understanding people the way they talk and act and also express their facial expressions, their face when they are angry or sad, the eyes many shits

I rarely had toys, my brother was rarely playing with me, mostly that I used to play with was my cousin everyday but he died because of a truck that hit him, and many said that his head was like squished, I used to question a lot with my parents and ask them ect, when I used to ask them to buy smth for me they always would have replied "we don't have got money" in angry way sometimes, like I said I rarely had toys but my brother had ton of them but that bastard rarely letted me to play, me and brother mastered Arabic language and gosh I was fucking fluent at that time now I can barely speak lmao and it was just because by watching cartoon network in Arabic version, I've seen gorie shows and news which sometimes made me cry, i remember a kid getting saved from isis in a car running away meanwhile a force called peshmerga forces shooting them and one of them shot rpg and it hit the car the crazy thing is the kid was still alive but the isis members were dead the kid was saying bring me to home and the kid was armless, I think this is enough lol I don't want to write a whole book

ok i have a doubt, i have this memory from when i was little, my father got mad at me and tried to drown me in the sink? i honestly dont know if it ever happened or if it was just a dream but i dont take it for granted, my father is a man who when he gets seriously angry becomes a monster. whether it was a dream or not that memory traumatized me
