What will happen to me getting standard braces with an overbite, no extractions?

I'm 15 and I've had braces for around 2 months and earlier today I got the lower ones. I made sure to get no extractions, not that they wanted to anyways. I have an overbite and mild crowding especially on my lower teeth, nothing severe, I only sought out braces because they look good to have. During the course of my treatment, what can I expect in terms of facial development? Is there anything I should do or avoid throughout the treatment such as requesting my orthodontist avoids certain kinds of rubber bands or bands in general?

i was a similar case, what they did was give me a palate expander and try to change the way i bite, the side profile did get better due to my jaw moving a bit forward but its not really crazy change, i still have...
