So I presented all adhd symptoms to a psychiatrist and he didn't doubt I had them, however I didn't get diagnosed because presenting with symptoms doesn't necessarily imply you have ADHD because it could be a product of your current health/environment. I think it's better to list symptoms and not outright say you have ADHD, because they might think you're just going for stimulants, but if you are claim you've had the symptoms since childhood

doctor, I'm getting really distracted easily. I've been like this all since childhood, but nowadays with home office it's seriously impacting my ability to do my job. Also I've been having a lot of mood swings, some days I wake up and I'm just melancholic for the next 3 days. It often ends with me raging and starting to scream and attack my surroundings. My knuckle is swelling since I punched the door the other day. I've also started to take stupid risks, like I walked up on top of my block just cause I thought it was funny.

When in meetings I can hardly recall anything. I'll mechanically force my eyes to the screen, but my mind wanders and no matter how hard I try most things are just filtered away. In the office I have a standing desk, but at home I'm sitting. I used to continually take steps backwards and forwards and to the sides, such that I'm still remaining in front of the computer, but now that I'm at my sitting-desk at home I feel I can't help but start walking around, doing chores, grabbing snacks or water every 5 minutes.

I also need to lie in bed staring at the ceiling for 2 hours before I fall asleep.

Is there anything you can do?

would something like that work? seems retarded to act ignorant of ADHD though.

In terms of ignorance I was more so implying to act like you're unsure but suspect it may be ADHD instead of being confident in what you suspect you have, I think they just don't like it, perhaps ego or something else. Anecdotally this hasn't worked with me when I talked with a gp, which is a family doctor dunno if you call it something different, and a psychiatrist. I'm going to another one today actually so i can report back, for context I am trying to get stimulant's without being diagnosed with ADHD as experimental treatment for depression, which is the case the first psychiatrist I talked to is trying to push to help me get some with another, because he has less capabilities in regards to medicines. It really depends on the individual psychiatrist and where you live in terms of how likely you are to succeed

Alright, I'll try to please his ego then :D

any other diagnoses I should try to get. I'm fucked in the head so I would really like some meds.

Anxiety for benzos is all I can think of, I went for help with motivation and still am by trying to get stimulants so never looked into meds worth abusing, mental health system is just a joke
