Probably question him, I've always wondered about the inner workings of such type of people. Ultimately I would have to ditch him and maybe report (based on if I think he's actually likely to act on it). I don't believe any sort of "support" would help him ever truly dismantle his corruption though seems to be a pretty incurable disease to me all you can do is try to minimize it.

In all honesty, it depends on a bunch of factors.

1) How do we define “pedophile” here, is he:

A) Attracted to prepubescent children (actual definition of pedophile);

or is he

B) Attracted to teenagers (not the actual definition of pedophilia, and therefore not problematic unless he actively tries to get with teenagers and he’s older than 20);

In the case of A), it would be very problematic and I might be cutting off ties with the guy, in the case of B), I don’t think it’s problematic, as I don’t fall for unfounded social mass hysteria.

2) Has he ever acted upon his urges?

A) If no, I would still be his friend, and urge him to get the professional help he needs, and give him the support he needs provided I can do that;

B) If yes, I’d be beyond disgusted, completely cut off ties with him and file a police case against him since he’s actively ruining (the safety of) children.

In the case of B), since I don’t believe in violence, I would let the prisoners take care of the trash.
