Yeah of course you built muscle in a deficit. Fat fucks can do that. Good luck trying to build muscle in a deficit at 10% though.

I been building muscle at 10% dumbass, I lost weight and looked like an anorexic person, begun lifting in quarantine and gained muscle, now I look athletic and never lost my abs in the process

No, I said maintenance at most, I cut once in a while, but you can build mass as long as you keep getting stronger. Bulking is for those who can’t train and program correctly so they just do stupid and bulk to grin strength, is almost like cheating but with jokes on you.

I have bulked and it put on a lot of muscle compared to maintenance and cutting. Now I will probably not bulk again unless it’s a very lean bulk, but to put on muscle as fast as possible bulking is the best option. That was my experience.

And also your body uses stored energy (fat) , so yes, even after a deficit your body will use fat to make up for it. Your muscles will grow as long as you give it enough nitrogen (protein). Is a survival mechanism. You submit muscles to stress, and will grow as long as you give them protein and as long as you have some fat reserves.

Obviously, but that’s the low IQ way of doing it. Takes a lot of effort to lose the weight after. Is better to look lean and gain muscle slowly.
