This sounds like a nightmarish hypothetical cuz it puts me in a spot where I am automatically expected to be “knight in shining armor” for a woman I barely know. Ngl I’d probably tell her that we must chase the robber together cuz otherwise it’s cucked. Boyfriend treatment ain’t free hoe. I’d probably also do smthn like match her running speed and claim that it’s the fastest I could run and it’s not my fault that I’m “athletically subhuman”. I would’ve already tried my “best” and tell her that she’s a bitch for chastising me for it.
There’s still a side of me that would feel guilty for holding back, yet knowing how women are often ungrateful asf, it would make me think I’ve made the “optimal” choice. How I would actually react in reality would be a different story tho. The most sensible thing to do imo might be to just call the police to at least look like I’m doing something to help, while simultaneously not cucking myself by doing all the heavy lifting. Although the chick might still get mad at me for not exerting myself. You just can’t win sometimes
