Most likely nothing, consciousness ends, but... Eventually maybe the atoms would form and the requirements would be met for us to exist and live again. Maybe we live in a loop, or maybe in a simulation. Maybe I am the only real person...

That’s right. You can’t actually know ANYTHING, and tbh that’s making your life better than believing in a invisible man in the sky that create humans just to worship him.

To me reality has always been extremely absurd. Why does anything exist at all? If you want to live a happy and fulfilling life you shouldnt be overfixating at thoughts like death or how the universe works. If that makes any sense.

Yeah, but being interested about your after-life and being depressed about it is two whole different things.
You can’t know what will happen after death so why bother, but it’s still interesting to think about, there are infinite things that can happen in the after-life.
I think this is something far greater than us—something we just aren’t equipped to fully understand or put into words.

It’s either
A restart
Light at the end of tunnel, so reincarnation
Buddhist reincarnation
Nothing
Heaven/hell
Whatever you believe in is your outcome

Only options I can think of, I think it’s nothing.

What if you reincarnated as a shrimp?

Yes, thats why I said you shouldnt be overfixating. Questioning reality and life is still of course a part of human nature.

I don’t tbh. You cant control it so it can possibly be more for the worse than the better if we’re talking statistically.

Reincarnation cannot be an option, because if you really were reincarnated, you wouldn‘t remember anything from your past life. That would mean that your thoughts and therefore you as a person would be lost forever-> death of your persona. You would be dead eitherway.

Good thought bro, I didn’t say reincarnation is an option tho.
Just because you don’t remember a past life doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. You don’t remember being a toddler either, but that doesn’t mean you didn’t exist back then. Memory isn’t the same thing as identity or existence. Reincarnation, if real, wouldn’t require you to carry over memories, it’s more about the continuation of whatever makes you you on a deeper level, not your conscious thoughts or past experiences.

And yes it’s something like death more or less, just theoretically less Somber

True, but I would argue that past experiences combined with genetics are what make you who you are. They are your identity. If you erase all your memories, you would not be you anymore. And as we know, genetics are unique, meaning it’s not possible for your reincarnated self to have those either. I reject the notion of something making you you on a deeper level, because that seems like a religious cope.

Yeah. Genetics and memories are important, but they don’t capture the full picture of what makes “you.” Consciousness or identity might go deeper than that, even if it’s hard to explain or prove right now. So it makes sense to stay open-minded rather than shut it down completely.

I don’t get people that say “I wish reincarnation is real” like bruh, “physically” you aren’t who you are. Your just the same soul with different personality, goals and life.

You do realize that the concept of a soul is a religious belief, so it‘s kinda ironic that you said : low Iq religioncels gtfo

Yes I do, I didn’t mean that as a physically soul, just as a metaphor.

I can’t tell what you’re trying to prove here.

I used “soul” as a metaphor for a human being that was being “transported” to another living body with different thought, goals, and probably zone. Is that better for you?

not really, that whole concept is still just as much of a religious belief as christianity. If that is what you believe in, you are still religious in a sense

I believe in nothing tbh. Complete atheist. I may be pondering sometimes about whether there is something in the sky or just anything else that could maybe serve us some purpose to life, but that isn’t the case. There is NOTHING that is controlling us and there is nothing after death.

same tbh, all religious beliefs seem like hardcore cope, because we are too weak to handle living in meaninglessness. the weaker we are, the harder we cope
