What's a good sideburn length

Should the angle of the sideburn be equal to your gonial angle?

Whoever cuts them like this just looks goofy

Looks too feminine you'll have to have a very masculine face to balance it out

Either trim the sideburns up to ear tragus for medium length sides, or shave your sides including the sideburn to a low guard (1-4) and don't trim the sideburns. That's the ideal length.
