Even Hamza admits you can go for a year and basically gain nothing. I'd say basically the same in 3 months except for some muscle, in 7 months it should start to look like something approaching presentable if you're consistent.

I gained 40 pounds of muscle in two months once by doing light workouts daily. It's not hard to gain a small amount of muscle as long as you're consistent every single day. You already have a good frame, just get lean to get rid of the hip fat.
