but too long and it starts to droop over the outer canthus and make your canthal tilt look worse

Yes, oral minox makes you more prone to cardiac side effects for example. It's absorbed at 100x the rate topical is absorbed.

Generally speaking doses up to 2.5mg seem to be safe, but I'd be cautious about more than that.

You'll need a prescription from your derm either way as opposed to topical.
