It stimulates collagen production. I used tret along with a balanced diet filled with wholefoods, IF and supplements to reduce my nasolabial fold visibility alot. My skin also has nice texture overall.

how long does it take for your skin to get used to it?

Depends on the individual. Some people still have peeling skin and irritation for a whole month, some for weeks and some not at all. For me personally it was a month. It burned and hurt like shit on the first week. Slowly dialed down. Now I use it once EOD and my skin has never been better.
