I have a bunch of THIS type of hyperpigmentation on one side of my cheek and its really annoying. They are dark red/purple/almost brown

Its essentially from a series of bad INFLAMMATION type cystic acne last fall.

My current routine

- FaceWash
- Azaleic Acid 15%
- Moisturizer
- Tretinoin/Clindamycin 0.025

Thankfully I have havent had new acne since starting tret in Novemeber however i am still left with these HORRIBLE marks. I also have blackheads on my nose.

How can i get rid of this? What else should I add to my routine?

note: pretty sure mine are mostly PIH NOT PIE

I used to have them too.
Use sunscreen, it's pretty much mandatory against hyperpigmentation. A vitamin C serum helps as well, it will increase collagen expression in the skin and also protect you from UVA rays a bit. Sunscreen is more important though

probably not, this type of hyperpigmentation will go away over time probably before the summer, vit c would speed it up but you're already using 2 actives so it might be best not to use it to avoid TEWL.

Of course lol. Clouds block UVB rays, which are the ones that burn you and give you skin cancer, but unfortunately they don't block UVA rays, which deplete your collagen and make hyperpigmentation go away slower
