Follow the proper guide with undereye tape, silicone scargel/petrolatum on supraorbitals.

Slight darkening still might he expected but you can try hydroquinone. If you notice too severe sides too fast just stop.

This is not that likely though but it's different for other people I guess from what I've heard. I'm gonna do it myself and report on the results. There's a slight risk with everything.
