I'd have to expand both then, otherwise the bite wouldn't match. I don't think a doctor would let me do that as I have no real issues with my teeth, crowding or otherwise.

It is not the same in the sense that there is no suture, but other than that, an expander should work as well. There is scientific evidence in this regard, and I am personally going to try it.

Doctors have a reputation to keep and if a clinic start getting horrible reviews from retards not knowing what they want and getting uninformed surgeries, they will suffer. Most of the people looking for surgery are in the know how and do quite a bit of research on more normalised forums discussing plastic surgery and what not. If they do a surgery that they know is dangerous or could have a high risk of negative outcome, they might be legally liable in some countries. Also a doctor would rather do simple operations with good markup than perform something Lefort III which is a very complicated surgery. There's a reason why surgery clinics post a lot of before and after stuff as they want to attract potential customers. You can't do that if you get bogged patients. Maybe I am wrong, but it is kind of like lawyers not picking retarded or hopeless cases even if the money is good as their reputation will suffer. It's a small world, surely professionals know each other and it means a lot to have a good standing among your peers.
