but i dont know if i should first get a haircut and then grow it or if i should just grow it as it is rn. Also what are ways to grow hair faster and better?

It's not possible to exceed the standard growth rate; just let it grow, and when you notice the shape is becoming strange, make a small adjustment in layers.

Oral minox will help but just let it grow out and got it trimmed from time to time when it starts to look a bit rough
