After you get a CS, maths or something related degree. As far as I know you should just connectionmax on linkedin (i already have 500+) and then you just post your projects (and larp). Thing is I dont know how to reach out or apply to places; and i feel like the competition would be insane especially with all the AI resume spammers.

Companies have AI checkers now for interview questions and resume also. They also use AI to pick candidates looking for certain words n phrases

very interested in the post, I'm studying econometrics rn. I think CS is seen as kinda junk, but maths has high potential. Generally I would say that high grades and being pro active is the most important. Most tards think that when they het their degree with a 6 on average the gates open for them.

There is also a big misconseption about making money with these degrees. I'll explain it through prob theory. So let X be that you got a maths or econ degree and Y be that you are interested in prob theory/high level maths. Now let Z be that you get rich. P(Z|X) < P(Z|Y).
The thing is that P(Y|X) > P(Y) the people with Y just select for these specific degrees basically.

how is CS seen as junk in a world where AI is taking off jfl. Anything that can be automated should be seen as junk, not CS

edit - CS is basically applied maths and coding. So u calling maths high potential and CS as junk doesnt make sense, as CS is simply a subset of Maths

You're probably right, quite a bit of CS people say their degree is junk though. I see the Hexumlite guy bitching about it quite often. I've just seen that these ai models code very well and that many multinationals are laying off quite a bit of coding employees.

That said, a high level programmer is prob very wanted in the job market rn. Just low level bachelors are getting the boot I think.

I knew it you were a bot that listens to that guy. Let me remind u tiktokers NEED to find something to talk about so they can post 5+ times a day. His opinions are irrelevant and trash. Why would u trust someone who needs views for a living, obviously his motivations are to just yap and get clicks, not to spread truth.

What the fuck man, I literally give other arguments. I even say: "you're probably right", and explain my possible bias...
The mass layoffs were all over the news a while back.

I also mentioned him, not because of his ties to this community (all these influencers are stupid snake oil salesmen), but because I remember him saying he was a CS major. Still, I'm sorry for the mention. Btw, it could very well be the case that that specific market simply went from a very wide job market to a slightly less wide one.

Getting this after giving an honest well informed initial response :( 1780843162497
