Whats the consensus on which implant material to choose?

Seems to be a lot of discussions and disagreement on this.

Most surgeons prefer silicone because its easier.
Some people say medpor gives better results and will not migrate unlike silicone.

PEEK is fairly new and not used by many. Expensive?

Other?

Reason I am asking is because I am planning a custom jaw, cheek, infraorbital implant with dr Y hopefully soon when things calm down and so far I am going with medpor from what I have read.
 
medpor is really hard to remove if something go wrong. they cut all the tissues around to remove it.

dr y. uses medpor conservatively. probably because of the natural look? i dunno know further.
 
What about calcium hydroxyapatite, it's supposed to transform into real bone and last a lifetime...
