I’m not really tapped in with incel culture and I’m also ass at grammer but when ever someone on TikTok says “a foid” someone gets really pissed off and tells them it’s “an foid” and tells them there larping idk i tough “a” and “an” were like the same thing

It’s “a foid”

We use “a” when the first sound of the following word is a consonant, and we use “an” when the first sound of the following word is a vowel.

For example, we have “Apple” and it starts with a vowel sound so we say “An apple” and not “A apple”

People saying “an foid” just do it because they are stupid and think it’s somehow funny to make grammar errors for no reason at all
