either a) ur life/looks improve to a point where you have whatever you want to get. most people get into this originally for something, girls, status, etc. so for a lot of people its just a means to and end and when you have that its done

or b) you get trapped in a cycle where there is no goal and the process becomes the goal itself. then ur stuck forever chasing something youll never have. not inherently bad but you might be happier doing something else
