Imo its tied between Austria and Moldova, very similar cases. Austria existing as a country is the same as Bavaria or Hanover being their own nations. Austria should obviously be part of Germany cause they are germans. Moldova is the exact same situation.
When it comes to the most fakeness of national identity then Belgium wins, this country makes zero sense, Wallonia should be French, the redt should go to Netherlands, onty reason this hasnt occured is religious differences
Bosnia and Macedonia are actually the most understandable, Bosnia especially. Macedonian unique identity came to idea as early as 1903 completely organically by the people, based on the land they lived in. Contrary to what greeks say, macedonians aren't majority slavic, on average around 30%, the rest is native balkan like ancient macedons. Macedonians dont claim that Alexander didn't speek greek, they claim that macedonians weren't true greeks, which is true, they were the frontier people of the helenic world, they never were full blooded greeks. Alexander and his family were tho, they came from Argos, but the common folk were probably mixed with thracians and panonians.
Bosnia is obvious cause of islamic religion, ottoman tradition, oriental customs.
Ukraine is a tough one. True Ukraine realistically is the most western parts near Poland, like 20%, of the nation, the places bordering Poland which was called Ruthenia. But Kiev itself and all the rest is fake af, it was the capital of medieval Russia ffs jfl. Also the name Ukraine literally means "borderland", geez bordeland to what i wonder
