What's the largest animal you've ever seen irl

I've been a lot of places, and so far the largest animal I've ever laid eyes on was a fully grown female grizzly bear with her cubs behind her, about 10 feet away from me. I was hiking in Teton Wyoming and came over this pass where you could see a lake and all these beautiful peaks. Heard a snap and saw an enormous brown furry thing emerge from the bushes and immediately took a few steps back. It went on its way further down into the rest of bushes. A lot of people gathered to watch it. Used my binoculars to watch one of the cubs eat berries down in the valley. Cool shit.

I saw about 3 moose in a pond on the same trip I saw the bear as well. They are ginormous, and their racks are unbelievable. I'd only seen mule deer when I lived in Cali. Seen a lot of elk and wolves in my current state though. Travelling to Alaska soon, hoping to see a Sitka blacktail deer.

If we're only counting the uncontrolled wild, definitely a big bull moose I saw hiking. If you count national parks too probably one of the bison I saw in Yellowstone.

Yes, they are huge. I've seen them from a distance but you can tell they are absolute tanks. I think you'd have a better chance of surviving being hit by a semi-truck than being run down by one of those.

I can't remember where but I swear I remember seeing a video of a guy dumping an entire Glock magazine into one (and those are a lot of rounds) and it still charged for a while after. Once those things are angry they don't give up easy

It's awesome. I haven't been in a while and have only gone a couple times but really want to go again. Bison are such cool animals, actually my favorite, but it does make me sad how inconsiderate I have seen tourists (online and a couple incidents IRL) are to them

Their skulls have to be around 3 inches thick. Pretty scary because you can drop them, think they're dead, and they can charge you again right before they die.

They're legit massive especially when they open their wings, it is very scary but they never attack, seems like the Patagonia and the South Cone of America has the best environmental conditions for giant birds, the largest flying ones were the Pelagornis and Argentavis, and Terror Birds were here too, must have been horrible to live amongst them motherfuckers
