What's the point of going to a High Tier College or going to ivy league school?

Yes you dumbass?? Wth did you think it was?
I know accounting pays well, also I looked up for 2020 average salaries... it is not 80k.... bro I don't know where u got that from

Get a good degree that is reliable and has good job security and benefits and get trained in a side hustle

if your goal is quick good money than do trade school albeit less prestigious they make more than most college graduates ever will

on the side hustle thing do real estate, stocks, your own business eventually stuff like that

I’m doing real estate and personal training for it because you can make good consistent money as a personal trainer with private clients
thats my goal
quick money to get a few surgeries after that i will stop hardcore hustling and live a mediocore life with fulfilling my aspie needs i guess

Oh no, you're gonna hate IT if you don't like being bombarded with tech problems 24/7 and have to do nerdy tech stuff with a bunch of fat soy cucks daily. The basic coding concepts are easy to understand, making a small code line to do this and that is okay (but boring). But when you're told to write code for an entire game, app or security system, you're gonna go nuts. Most tech companies have a salary so you will be most likely called by them at random times throughout the day to do stuff (and if you refuse, you lose your job since you're easily replaceable, due to so many other chinks and curries doing the same degree). If you've noticed, IT/comp.science/coding, etc. has been promoted heavily since this past decade... and let me inform you that it is all a meme. They're trying to hype this up because they need more people in the IT field to work for their cuck positions and operate stuff like a clerk. By the next 5 years or so, there will be enough people for IT/comp.science and they'll automatically lower the salaries/wages (because the demand for more IT workers won't be as high). The median salary will go from 6 figures to 5 figures for the same exact boring, stressful job. Have you ever looked at the Google workforce? The employers (who're on a salary) are given free food and relaxation time to play around with toys... so they can work and stay focused for longer hours. Even the furniture over there for making the job look decent is primary-school like. What an utter joke jfl. And out of all the biggest downsides of being in IT this one is the worst. And here it is - you constantly have to learn to use knew technologies/software because almost every year there are either modifications or new tech which replaces the old one. There's other sub-duties and operating schemes you MUST HAVE to make yourself aware of.... (if you don't want to lose your job). In the IT field, you have to remain valuable and updated about new stuff or else, you're nothing to them. People at the age of 30+ are still frequently doing courses online or at university/secondary education institutions for remaining valuable in the IT field. Imagine working and studying for the rest of your life!!! I'd LDAR at home all day instead. It's not a field where you "study one skill in uni/primary years of your job... and then become an expert in it till you retire"... it's a field of constant challenges and Norwood 3 inducing work due to the pressure. It's the absolute nightmare for a woke blackpiller. Sure it pays well (because it is a boring and high stress environment field), but at what cost? Even medicine is worth it since you learn most stuff (if not everything) in med school and practice till you retire. If you're really concerned about money, start investing instead. I know Amnesia does something where he makes as much money as he likes. Iirc, he is not working a high paying job, like the rest of society. I've made up my mind that I'm gonna leave IT (although this was only my first year studying IT in uni and next year is harder) and switch to business. I might do HR management since it is a job involving you communicating with people, recruiting employers, firing them etc. If not that, then finance. But definitely not IT. So much of IT and tech is unnecessary af, people are physically cucking themselves by doing so much work of it on a screen than working their arses of and doing stuff manually, like the old days. Sitting in front of a screen and working your brain till it's fried sounds like a nightmare to me. If you're into IT, then go for it, I am not stopping you. But you really have to be passionate to be that nerd who'd put in that extreme effort for some amount of money. I'm really sorry for this huge and daunting chunk of text, I hope you get time to read this bro. I put in all the effort to communicate my honest and accurate thoughts about going into the IT field for a career.

I'm not trying to gaslight you in any way or anything. But you'd be happier as a chad flipping burgers or working in a food truck. The food industry never runs out of demand. And it most likely won't be replaced by AI. Work somewhere in a culinary field, save money, invest, get the surgeries you need and ascend. My dad did an MBA and he's working in a factory position right now, making more than enough money for the family for 4, alone. Nobody else form my family works atm. Job satisfaction > pay for me. I hope it's the same for you. Take effort, but not till the point you become a slave to society, wage-cucking for the elite and rich guys. The effort of studying hard doesn't pay off in 2020 ngl.
Modern education is very bad. Do whatever makes you happy, don't worry about people being more rich than you. They're usually betabuxxes and have to cope with stress reducing drugs or something similar to stay sane and productive in soyciety. STEM is the field for the bluepilled nerd. I only enjoy chemistry out of STEM, but I'm not looking forward to do a career in it tbh.

Ik, but I was trying to give a similar tier job. Stuff like being a tradie, technician plumber, etc. pays a lot and it's almost a free-lance type of job.

Honestly, I'm thinking of doing a 3 year business degree in HR or finance. I just want a job that I would genuinely enjoy and is low stress + effort, regardless of how much or less it pays. Once I get enough money for working around a decade, I'll downgrade my lifestyle and do some job in the food industry, maybe truck driving, etc. I want to give time to my hobbies in the future. That's pretty much it.

You basically recruit new people willing to work in the company you're positioned in as a HR. You teach them the basic stuff, examine/monitor their skills, calculate pay rolls/salaries for workers, make the team of employees perform well and bring a positive output in the business, lodge complaints if necessary, fire them if they aren't productive for the company. It's more communications based so I am confident enough for it.
The HR specialists and managers may not get above 150k AUD like an IT nerd, but it's around 80-125k AUD a year which is heaps imo. The IT workers are the people you can control and give tasks to finish as a HR specialist in an IT company, hypothetically speaking. Not a bad job imo.

Really doomer take ngl, my (and all my friends and people I know in the field) experience has been much different to what you state here.

Coping mechanism or srs?
I can go line by line in his essay and tell you an anecdote of how it's wrong. Dev work is tough for the first year or so but after that it becomes quite easy. Even in my case I was only stressed af my first year of work because I was retarded in thinking that I'd get fired (despite doing well in performance reviews etc.). Depends at the end of the day where you work I guess. Also I won't even get into the existence of government jobs, how easy they are and how safe/impervious to getting fired they are (though they pay less).

I'll go line by line (I'm literally "working" right now jfl don't have much to do). Limiting this to my scope as a software developer (idk what he is referring to when he uses the term IT but he refers to coding so I assume software developer)

>Oh no, you're gonna hate IT if you don't like being bombarded with tech problems 24/7 and have to do nerdy tech stuff with a bunch of fat soy cucks daily.
true you will want to have an aptitude towards solving problems, but these problems have patterns/repetitive/you get used to it as you learn the architecture of the systems at your workplace, what line of work that's worth being in doesn't have problem solving in it?

>But when you're told to write code for an entire game, app or security system, you're gonna go nuts.
nobody is willing to write such systems from scratch by themselves in a work environment, it's why you have entire teams of devs/architects that plan and start from the bottom and piece things together, there is such a concept known as isolation of tasks - this is one of the worries of new interns/hires in general tbh, as an example, for the longest time I would even look at stuff as simple as build scripts and think "wtf there's no way I can write this from a blank file", in reality you'll be joining a company/enterprise and won't be building stuff from 0, you'll see stuff that's already built and get to learn it in and out

>Most tech companies have a salary so you will be most likely called by them at random times throughout the day to do stuff (and if you refuse, you lose your job since you're easily replaceable, due to so many other chinks and curries doing the same degree).
once you start working you realize how bad chinks and curries are at this stuff that you'll never worry about losing your job again, I'm more worried about eastern euros/ukrainians/russians they're good af, but even then if someone like me who never programmed outside of uni/work can keep up so can anyone, not to mention the concept of ramp up time + training somebody, no company that keeps someone hired for more than a year (that has done well in performance reviews) will want to fire them unless they've done something particularly illegal

there are up-times and down-times, up-times you're expected to work, but I've never seen anyone put in more than 8 hours a day unless they procrastinated their work during up-times, during down-times work can take max 2-3 hours a day, jfl when quarantine started I was spreading a day of work into a week of work

isn't this the case with basically any job though? it's a job, you're expected to work and get stuff done

>The median salary will go from 6 figures to 5 figures for the same exact boring, stressful job.
salary keeps going up actually

>the tirade about google
I agree, FAANG is somewhat stressful, I wouldn't want to work at FAANG ever again

>And here it is - you constantly have to learn to use knew technologies/software because almost every year there are either modifications or new tech which replaces the old one.
You learn of these changes while on the job, oftentimes it's just semantics/like learning a new dialect anyway. The core logic is already engrained in your mind.

Either way, why is this a problem? In fields like law you're expected to have entire law books memorized, in medicine you have to do continuing education and keep up with new medical advancements... it's the same with any field that has good pay really.

>Sitting in front of a screen and working your brain till it's fried sounds like a nightmare to me. If you're into IT, then go for it, I am not stopping you.
You say this as if it's walk into the office, sit in front of a computer for 8 hours then leave the office. Nowhere where I've worked either as a student or full time has been like this.

IT isn't for you I understand that... but it's not as doom and gloom as you make it out to be in your post.

Why IT and not CS? I’m pretty sure both are different. Have you thought of going into trades instead? Shit will be simpler and education cheaper, maybe a construction worker or a technician of some sort, they pay well + high T
