Whats the reason behind so many guys listing to gf or mommy asmr all of a sudden?

I have a lot of friends who are super into it and I did try to listen to it myself but I just don't get the appeal. After listening I js feel like shit cause I'm getting affirmations from sm random on yt. So I do wanna ask, of you listen often, why? (I'm not posting this as a joke this is a serious question)
