What's the reason for looking much better clean shaven vs with a stubble/beard ?

I literally look like a legit 6/10 when clean shaven and good haircut but as soon as I have a stubble I drop down to 4-5
What's the reason for it ? Lack of bones? But If I had shit bones I should look better with a beard and not clean shaven as it hides it

And if you can grow a beard then that’s good as well I guess, I can grow a full beard but I have light mustache hairs, someone told me that it’ll take a few years to get a thick lumberjack beard though

All depends om phenotype.
Some people look better clean shaven, some look better with stubble, some with a goatee (Roman Reigns is a good example, he looked better with a goatee than a beard imo)
Also it needs to be said some form of facial hair definitely adds sex appeal
