what are you talking about. 5ar will return after stopping fin, also not all of it is inhibited. Furthermore you dont even differentiate between Type I and Type II 5-alpha-reductase. Fin selectively inhibits Type II, which is mostly active in the urogential tissue

Wtf does “5AR killed” even means. The pic u linked literally says the mechanism is called “INHIBITION”. Inhibiting = stopping

A 5AR-inhibitor like finasteride blocks the conversion it’s not like it destroys a fukin enzyme that’s responsible for your DHT production wtf

The ONLY reason u might get long term side-effects from a drug like this is in the case that you have endocrine issues per se, meaning you should put ur ass on TRT whether or not u took the drug.

The side effects of this drug are 100% subjective & you won’t know until you try

My advice is tell your dermatologist to refer you to an endocrinologist & let them check your free T, total T, E2, SHBG & DHT levels. ALL of those are impacted by finasteride

The side effects you get range from erectile dysfunction to libido issues, to irritation & depression all the way to gyno, & each of these will manifest across a spectrum based on the changes to the hormone profile.

Finasteride should not be treated as a hairless drug but more like an oral steroid. Meaning that proper hormonal management with a structured protocol needs to be in place the minute the prescription is handed to the patient

I got Brain fog and depression, exercising often and a low dose of Prozac cleared these issues up for me. Still on it, regrew lots of hair, grew back a full norwood on both sides. Need to keep taking the low dose Prozac with it unfortunately. No libido issues.

I've always been cut and lean naturally like you see on some black guys, I was a state level track athlete too, so I would imagine I have at least decent T levels even though Im ectomorph and narrow face lol.

Nothing, I wasn't going bald aggressively anyway, my dad looks totally fine in his 50's with an NW2.5. Im not one of those guys who was ever gonna have a bald head, I was just doing it because I didn't realise the risks unfortunately. If really needed, I can always get a hair transplant which is permanent and safe.
