Doing good. Been listening to some deep music all day.

Was researching about tutoring 4th grade kids side-by-side.

Yeah I'm in uni. I have a break till February. Full time. I haven't worked a single day in my life ngl. I'm 18 already. I help my brother with studies time to time. My parents asked me to find a job, so I thought of doing tutoring (cause my friends did it for a while back in 12th grade). My dad's friend offered to hire me to teach his son who's going to 4th grade next year. I'm gonna teach him 4th grade math which is easy af. But I'm researching about proper tutoring methods so that he doesn't hate my presence each week when I come to his house to teach him. His mother offered to advertise and market about me to her friends if I will be charging an average rate... which I don't mind since I'm only starting. Tutoring pays a lot more than flipping burgers or wage cucking somewhere. I have a drivers license and I have an option for flexible hours too.

Damn, tutoring in 12th as well as studying sounds bad tbh.
Good thing you're in uni and got a break tho.

Idk if I'll be able to handle part-times when I go to med school, feel like I'd need to dedicate all my time to studying.

I only have 4 subjects a semester so it won't be as stressful as HS (I had 5-6 subjects in HS). Next year it's 2nd year. I'm probably going to finish my current B.ICT (IT/tech) degree just for the sake of having a degree/qualification cause my parents say so. I really don't want to work in this field although it's high paying. It's a field of constant learning and requires you to keep on updating yourself by doing certifications/studying about new tech which is a nightmare for me cause I'm not into this. I'm gonna rote learn all this stuff and pass ((cause not a single employer cares about what grades you scored in your degree, according to my dad, his friends and his network. They just want you to have a professional qualification)).

This is why I'm actually going to save up money for a trade apprentice-ship course soon. Tradies/plumbers/electricians/etc learn a lot in Australia. It's a small contract based job in most cases where it's easy to make 6 figures. You have the choice of - when to work, who to work for, how long to work for... and how much you want to charge them. Most tradies end up as alcoholics/gamblers cause they're mainly low IQ.
That's why there's a stereotype about it. But it's one of the best jobs outside of STEM.

Med school seems nice if you're going to be bothered to put in all the effort. Med school is a lot of study and practicals, according to my friends who're already half way in med school. So yeah, tutoring will just be near impossible for you in med school if you still want to enjoy life apart from studying + work. The salaries in medicine are high end too, however. Hope you excel in what you love.

Real shame. If I'm not mistaken you're Indian, so this is standard, studying/working something because one's parents put them into it.

Can't say I know much. I've never really considered a job outside of STEM. It was aviation when I was younger, and now medicine is my interest.
But, 6 figures for the jobs you listed? Sounds pretty insane ngl. Mundane everyday work but pay doesn't sound bad at all.

Yeah, it is a lot of work, but at least I'm passionate about the subject, so I'll make it worthwhile.

Same to you man, we'll all find our way eventually.

Ah ok. Are u planning to apply to US, Uk or what. US admissions is completely fucked for asians btw.
nah defo not US, apart from the application bit, med schools for international students there in general isn't worth it cost of 4 years undergrad + 4 more years med school

could get the same done in 6 years in the UK/EU.

Yes tbh. UK/EU is good. But med school in Uk is fucking hard af to get into tbh. They have a limit on international students.

True the pre-reqs are high, but I'm willing to take a shot. If not, I've other options in the EU which are easy asf to get into.
