There are many milestones in my life that on paper outshine this one becoming a commander in the army earning my first wages, completing my internship but none of them struck me emotionally as much as this one. It was the day my results arrived 4 years ago, the day I secured admission into the most prestigious university in the country.

For months after the exams I was rotting at home, waiting in uncertainty. Every day I got insulted by my neighbours and relatives and even my own family. They called me useless, good for nothing, a waste of space. My home felt like a prison and even i was doubting my abilities. I genuinely felt like offing myself.

And then with that single result everything changed. In one stroke I silenced every insult, every sneer. I still remember the surge of adrenaline as if it were yesterday. I literally froze on the spot when I received the admission letter. I couldn't believe it myself.

I went on to achieve greater things. But that one day was the defiant turning point. I proved to everyone that they were wrong and I have not looked back ever since. I'll remember that day even on my death bed

I will answer this just the way I answered this over ten years ago, a question similar to this, after being asked what my talents were. I don’t have any.
