I feel like low iq people also get depressed, they're just not good at exploring their feelings or putting words that can describe it well, so like all ideas in their head, the depressive emotion comes and goes relatively quickly, unlike high iq people who's emotions have more tenure.

High IQ is correlated with neuroticism, basically it's over for slaying. I'm somebody who research very very deep and then come to a conclusion after having read literally everything about a topic or I don't even form a sound opinion on a subject. Then I see normies speaking on the same topic without having read a single line and act like theirs is the ultimate truth and other people side with them because they have more halo (through looks) and have a better verbal/social IQ or because it's more socially accepted to think that way. This way of behaving held me back sometimes at school because I never took shortcuts in the sense I thoroughly enjoyed learning deep mathematical subjects until I learned the smallest detail, while my classmates were just trying to find methods to make the little they knew work in a generalized form JFL. They didn't find pleasure in learning, they only wanted the good grade. I was the opposite, wanted to learn for the sake of understanding it and the grade was less important although I still wanted good grades to enter a top university.

In 2020 you can be rich without having a high IQ...I mean just look at onlyfans. Or Instagram. Many girls leverage their looks to make money through social media. Or you can be an athlete. And low IQ people are more likely to be street smart and take shortcuts that put them in good positions they don't deserve. High IQ people are more high inhibition, more worried about taking risks, thinking about "black swans" more than the upsides, and usually with worse social skills (because of neuroticism).

Moreover these days connections/networks are as important or even more important than intelligence for landing top jobs.

High IQ people are the ones who drive society and our species forward by making discoveries and advancing science and technology but they take no respect.
