- Short the stock market.
- Have enough savings or made money by shorting the stock market. To be able to buy homes/real estate that hopefully dropped in prices alot, and scoop up a bargain (or more) real estates. That one can hopefully milk the next years for monthly rental income; and possibly sell when the value of the house has rissen alot agian in the future.
- buying business for cheap, because of the economic drop has low profit (and thus can buy cheaply), and the owner is old/retirement age so he just wants out and retire.
