The way I perceive myself completely changes. Even though the rating is the same, to my brain I am at least 1 PSL lower (probably a subhuman trait ngl)

Back when I had TMJ - a bit noticable.

Now - TERACHAD WITH AN INSTA FILTER.

I have a bit of assymetry and at first I was fucking disgusted but I find this is usually just a shock perception and the best thing to do is to look at yourself in a reverse mirror for a few minutes a day to adjust. Doesn't seem nearly as bad now.

Ur brain will always be in disgust when it sees the real you. When u see ur self in a normal mirror u look better to ur self because ur brain has ignored the assymetry. the real u isnt as bad as u think its just a reaction from the brain. Most people will actually prefer the real u than the mirror u

I'm used to both. I used to use two mirrors when I was 12 because I was aware of this effect and always flip camera images to resemble reality. Both of them look the same level lookswise.
