Life is easier when u think that someone is watching u above and is going to help you at anytime. The Catholic Church actually teaches that people get glory in heaven according to their level of righteousness.

The Blessed Virgin Mary does not have the same level of reward/glory in heaven as the regular decent Catholic would receive for example (she gets more of course). Each individual is at perfect peace there, so it’s not like a competition of who glory mogs who btw lol.
