Why is that bipolar cartoonish action show over the sopranos and the wire? The whole show bounced between realistic/gritty and cartoonish every few episodes, it felt like the writer didn't know what the show wanted to be. And Jesse's actor acting was bad, soap opera character level acting

Better call Saul was better because it split things up, jimmys side was over the top and cartoonish, the cartel stuff stayed grounded and gritty, so the tone never clashed the way it did in breaking bad

There is nothing bipolar or cartoonish. Comparing realism is absurd. The Wire is a sociological series (like Treme, The Deuce etc.), whereas Breaking Bad is not. Still, compared to other shows like The Sopranos, which are similar to its kind, it is much more realistic.

I would make deep comparison of why BB, The Wire, The Sopranos (BB>W>S) but my post would turn into an essay so i will keep it short.

The top three shows must be works that improve with each season. While The Wire is a good series, it doesn't get better with each season. It's far below BB in terms of viewing pleasure. Its rewatchability is weak. The Sopranos drops in quality after the first season. Seasons 4 and 5 are a complete waste of time. It shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath as Breaking Bad. I'm not even talking about the amount of filler in The Sopranos.

1) In terms of detail level within episodes and storyline, BB is far superior to both.
2) The cinematography is much better. It's almost like an epic film.
3) While all BB seasons are top-notch, The Wire only reaches this level in seasons 2 and 4. Seasons 1, 3, and 5 are nowhere near BB's level. The Sopranos, on the other hand, steadily declines after season 1. Seasons 4 and 5 are the worst.

Jesse's acting is spot on; he plays the character exactly as he should. How could he get "drug addict young adult" role done right?

There is a clear case of overwriting in BCS, exaggerating the character drama, which consequently reduces credibility and realism to zero.

Breaking Bad is better in every way. In terms of episode detail and directing, Breaking Bad is far superior in terms of script, storytelling, originality, experimental episodes, thrill, subtext, character writing, acting, realism, naturalness, epicness, and cinematography.

Tbh, i would never put BCS, The Wire, The Sopranos in my top 10, we got many high quality series since 2010. I have listed many of them in my previous post in thread.
