I haven't watched much but these 5 would be in my list.

1. Naruto (grew up with it, and it deeply impacted me with the amazing character writing and fights)
2. Akame Ga Kill (Anime adaptation worse than manga, but still amazing)
3. Jujutsu Kaisen (Just overall newgen fun)
4. Cowboy Bebop (Music, story, theme, all fire)
5. Deathnote (interesting anime, decently unique and fun, weak ending tho)

I'd probably switch out JJK with Cowboy Bebop, But Re:0 has been a fun watch

I have watched anime, but none of it ever really stuck with me.
Despite having seen a lot of it, I would never say that I am a "fan of anime". I am not an "otaku" or "weeb".
Thus I find it really quite difficult to rank them.
I guess I'll be basic and just say Berserk (I liked it before it blew up with vapid zoomers on tiktok, alright? )
as well as the OG Dragon Ball anime (not Z) are my favorite ones.

Most recently I tried watching Death Note.
It's got a cool "aesthetic" and "vibe" to it, a cool premise. But the writing started to irritate me too much and I stopped watching.

Only manga I ever read through was Goodnight Punpun, which was pretty great ngl.
I think it's probably mainly the mangas and anime FILMS that are any good.
Anime SHOWS on the other hand are almost all shoddily animated and poorly paced.

Almost all of these are really fucked up, full of violence and sex. Of all of them RIN is probably the most fucked up one but Gantz and elfen lied are right behind it.
