I know. Jatts were originally pastoralists from Sindh. Then they migrated into Panjab. But Jatts are a Panjabi subgroup. Same with Rajputs, Awan, Qureshi, Syeds, etc. Not to say all Rajputs are Panjabi, just to illustrate Panjabis are a heterogenous ethnic group. There are obviously Rajputs of other ethnic groups. Like how Rajput is applied to any son of a king, so is Jatt applied to any farmer. So that’s why there’s different ethnic groups that identify as Rajput or Jatt.
