On the other hand, I think Jackie Chan seriously ruined the image of Chinese people all over the world. Until him, kung fu movies were usually serious, violent and bloody, but he started to make them comedies and act like a clown and like a clumsy idiot who would stumble into a fight and win it just by luck. Many of his movies also didn't even have a love interest, or if there was a girl, his relationship with her was usually platonic, so he solidified the image of the emasculated asexual Chinese male.
