When did you find out you were autistic?

For me it's when I realized a relative had low functioning autism, and all my friends (close friends anyway) act like autists. And one of my friends is diagnosed with autism (he told me), yet he was one of my closest friends. But the biggest one was when I read the symptoms.



So despite all the people around me having autism, I'm still close to them and hang out with them. What does that make me? There's even autism in my blood and i have the symptoms, so yeah that's when I found out.

At 14 when I started going to a psychologist when socializing got increasingly harder when starting puberty and I couldn’t get to know people no matter what. I didn’t know or care what autism was then and I got diagnosed aspergers, along with adhd, but didn’t read myself up on it until later. But my parents suspected me of having autism since I was a kid since I had many weird obsessive interests all my life and say and do a lot of weird shit

I also have adhd aspergers, even though I'm not diagnosed officially. My teacher noticed i had adhd in 2nd grade, and i noticed I had autism myself. If you have any more stories keep it coming.

Also I will never forget that time you talked about your "friends " inviting you, then halfway through they told you to leave.
