Yes they do eat more peasant grain and seed foods there by a lot, whole culture is still heavily peasant slop bare sustenance based and they are too poor to afford large quantities of meat. The more peasant foods you are exposed to relative to animal foods in the womb + development period as childhood and teenager the more likely you are to suffer from this for sure.
