Same. I remember reading encyclopedias and my grandma had an old USSR-era world book, it was the best atlas of this kind and almost everyone in eastern EU had this one. It was translated from russian ofc but it looked exactly like here on scans:

There was cartoon-like content on all shit about the world and space, continents, geography, animals, people's cultures, man I could just sit and stare at this shit for HOURS. Inkwell trait?

It had all these maps with animals that live in these places and pictures of all animals of continent. I remember always trying to draw the most badass ones, sharks, snakes, tigers, crocodiles etc. Especially on this page seeing all the cool animals in Amazon, esp the huge anaconda and jaguar made me want to COME TO BRAZIL as a kid
