It's everything. We don't have the looks, personality, or money to get a girlfriend we would want to date.

When is enough, enough, is a good question. Many of us will be self improving our entire lives and still die alone. My life is over half over, and it feels pointless grinding for something that may never come.

But life is more pointless not trying.

NT is impossible to achieve imo. Harder than looksmaxxing. Satisfaction, at the end of the day, rarely comes but it relies on matching personalities. It's more of a mental problem.

Tbh at some point you get tired of the face, no matter how pretty she is. Plus you'll both get old etc. Fuck I'm coping so hard . But yeah, it's the attention we're all after tbh.

I'm just being dramatic for fun.

My age is more than half the life expectancy of the average man.

But I don't think I am so special that it be necessary that I continue living. In terms of usefulness, humor, empathy, warmth, intelligence, creativity, and spirit, AGI will surpass us all.

I can't help feeling that there's an important role for me to play. It's almost certainly a narcissistic delusion to motivate me. There was a speech by Steve Jobs where he says you can't connect the dots looking forward, you can only connect them looking backwards.

The implication being, that if you trust things will all work out for the good, they will, or that things will some how matter in the end. But he's an extremely rare selection bias to that rule. People work their entire lives in misery thinking the dots are going to connect, only to get killed in a car crash.

I think the answer is a bit simpler than that. It's simply to embrace suffering, embrace sadness, focus, boredom, and pain. Simply breath your existence. March forward and when all you experience is the bitter chill of existence, smile.
