In 99 % ofncases with modern western internal LL you will get same result or better cause you werent at your peak before either.
If you are the best olympia Athlet and have reached 100% of your potential, just doing femur LL might lower your speed maybe by 5%. Wow so dont become an olympia runner if you dont wanna looksmax. However if you just do casual or local sports stuff you wont notice a difference or even be better cause you train more and actually stretch etc.
The first ever LL patient did external LL with dr illizerov (founder of LL) and was a soviet Athlet. He broke the world record with 2.08m and later in his carrear even reach 2.24m in jumping ability. Then he had a serious injury and later got LL to fix it. After LL and some recovery time he could jump 2.09m.
So even in the 70s this dude would have still been the best jumper.
Nowaday we have much better ll capabilities.
Modern LL is really save and not that hard (first 4 weeks suck and you will have to be on crutches for 3-5 months) but after that its fair game.

LL has a bas rep cause of retards getting huge amout of cms in one go and doing it external. Femur 10cm Lon is just shit and will give you bone deformities and cut your muscles.
Lon on tibia and lenghtening like 7 cm results in many people needing soft tissue Releases.
These Releases like atl lenghtening do cripple you since the Achilles tendon doesnt heal well.
How to Circumnet this ?
Only do 8cm femur with an internal nail.
If you wanna do tibia get a wheighbearnig nail (sadly currently only mechanice nails like gnail or betzbone both are not optimal) and stop before you need a soft tissue release. (Usually between 4-5cm).
Instead get multiple LLs and do rebreaks and take bone growth hormones and hgh and i prominent you you wont get a difference or be even faster cause your leg muscles and legs overall are much longer.
Best way to do LL is femur 6cm, tibia 4cm, rebreak tibia and femur one year later for full 16cm. If you need extra cm after get another femur LL 6cm
Up to 22cm height increase and no functional loss.
I will do LL in januar femur i will be Praxis test on this forum
