When Should I worry?

Hello all,
I’m been on 2.5MG dut for about 7 months now, just switched to 40MG Dut EOD, im 19 been balding since about 16, still noticing shedding amongst the hairline and especially near my sideburns but it’s definitely slowed a lot, weirdly enough I don’t notice any hairfall in the shower or on my pillow just when I play with my hair and run my fingers through it they are loose. It’s in typical Norwood style I’m probally a NW2.5 right now. Crown is thick like the rest of my head. When do I worry that it won’t stop is this a normal progression of the medicine and just the hair cycle being the limiting factor? I would like to hop on test soon but not if I can’t stop this while natty.
Any advice is appreciated

40 EOD is overkill fs, but it would be interesting to see its results. Generally you should see regrowth 9-12 months in and your results will peak 12-15 months after starting treatment. You'll probably see some increased shedding after starting 40mg, because your 10x'd the dose that is already 5x the studied amount, but the regrowth/shedding cycles are limited by the follicle. Shedding is a good sign fyi.

btw were you on fin before you started? did you switch because you wanted regrowth or you weren't maintaining on fin

I switched 6 months after starting fin because I wanted the best thing and got into this space, I’m on 15 mg ed of powder and 2.5 actual pharma now. My shedding has slowed a lot now in the past 2 weeks ngl , literally no hair in the shower and some in the morning probably 30-50 hairs. Literally 0 from my crown tho it’s feeling good man lol. I wanna start test but idk scared of balding again and the carrier oil is fucking me but that’s a diff story

7 months is still relatively early tbh, especially if you only recently switched to 40mg EOD. Hair cycles are slow as fuck, so you can still have shedding even if the treatment is actually working. The fact that you’re not seeing much hair in the shower/pillow and that the overall hairfall has slowed sounds more reassuring than anything.I wouldn’t judge it based on individual hairs coming out when you run your fingers through it either, everyone sheds. I’d be more concerned if you’re consistently seeing the hairline/crown getting visibly thinner over several months despite treatment.
Also I’d definitely wait before hopping on test if preserving your hair is a priority. Testosterone can obviously make things worse if you’re genetically susceptible, even with 5AR inhibition.

yea imma def hold off on the test, no muscle is worth my hair personally. These are my current levels rn

Are you mixing the dut with mct oil? 15ml is like 150 calories of oil a day lmfao, if it’s at 1mg/ml like most people

Yea, i log it daily in my calories, I really hate eating so it doesn’t bother me at all,
